HOME DELIVERED FOOD PROGRAM

We know that some clients are unable to come to a pantry, no matter how accessible its hours may be. This year we have implemented a new service for homebound clients, a home delivered food program. This is a limited venture, due to the increased time and cost, but it does bring a desperately needed service to a group of families unable to access nutritious supplemental groceries.

We delivered many food baskets and boxes to people who were disabled, homebound, on dialysis, single mothers with young children and no family/transportation, or injured or ill. We also formalized a new program of agency support. This allows partner agencies like first responders and social workers who serve low-income clients in residential settings to pick up baskets for their clients.
