Casa de Peregrinos Food Program is excited to announce that Nusenda Credit Union will match donations to our Hope for the Holidays campaign up to $50,000, helping bring Thanksgiving meals to families throughout Las Cruces and Doña Ana County.
For generations, Hope for the Holidays has helped local families facing food insecurity enjoy a Thanksgiving meal with their loved ones. This year, the community has another opportunity to make an even greater impact: donations made to the campaign can go twice as far thanks to Nusenda Credit Union’s generous matching commitment.

Helping Families Celebrate Thanksgiving
Casa de Peregrinos has been providing Thanksgiving food baskets to families in need since 1979. Hope for the Holidays continues this tradition by bringing the community together to support children, seniors, veterans, working families, and individuals experiencing food insecurity.
Thanksgiving food basket distribution is scheduled for November 23, 2026. As the holiday approaches, donations will help support the campaign’s efforts to provide food to local households.
In addition to financial contributions, community members and local businesses can help by organizing food drives and collecting items such as turkeys, boxed stuffing, canned corn, and canned green beans.
